Girls' Day Out

Every Wednesday in February, the Hogle Zoo has free admission. Last Wednesday was the last day to get in on it, and it was supposed to be good weather, for February anyway, so I decided to take Rachel. Mike was at work, and we left Reed with Grandma so he wouldn't have to brave the cold, and off we went! It was fairly cold and fairly crowded, but we didn't mind!

It got colder as the day went on, but we just bundled up and kept going. Rachel had a little loaf of banana bread that Grandma had made her and snacked on it all day as she rode in her stroller.

Rachel's other favorite part was riding the elephant at the carousel.

We had a great time. I love that Rachel is getting more familiar with and interested in the different kinds of animals. Hopefully we get to go a couple of times this summer too and bring Reed. Grandma was excited to get to have him all to herself all day though. :)
