Yesterday Rachel (and we) got to meet Ben, Rachel's birthfather, for the first time. We were so glad to be able to meet him. Rachel absolutely loved him, and grinned and cooed at him so much. She definitely knew him. He loved her too, of course! I know we've talked a lot about Rachel's Mommy Mindy and how much she loves Rachel, but Ben is also a really great person with so much love for his daughter. We haven't had the opportunity to get to know Ben as well as we have Mindy, but we are just in awe of these two people who loved their daughter enough to give her more than what they could by themselves. We are forever indebted to them for our beautiful little miracle.

Wow Mary that is so neat that you were able to meet Ben. I wish so badly that we could meet Hay's birthfather and Houston's too but we know hardly any info about either one. They are a part of them too. What a great oppurtunity you had.
How special! Rachel is such a lucky little lady to have so many people who love her. The two of them looked like they really had a connection. What great people Mindy and Ben are. Rachel is getting so big and is absolutely adorable!
Rachel does look like him, doesn't she? She is so beautiful! We are also grateful for Ben and the good person he is.
