Moab

*PS- There's another new post below this one, too. :)

For those of you who don't know, Mike and I used to own a Jeep and take it down to Moab all the time. It was one of our favorite things to do, but then it kept getting more expensive, and then the kids came along, and we sold the Jeep to concentrate more on our growing family. But we still love Jeeping, and like to still get down to Moab once in a while. For Labor Day weekend, we decided to take a spur of the moment trip down there and give the kids their first taste of Moab Jeeping. We rented a Jeep and did a couple of our favorite trails. It was a blast, and we both are now firmly convinced that someday, somehow, we will own a Jeep again.

We stayed over a night before hitting the trails at a KOA cabin. The kids loved it. Rachel even got to sleep on the top bunk, which is apparently the coolest thing ever.

The KOA also had a playground and a pool. It was so fun just being away together as a family.

Mike and I trying out the horseys.

There's also a big sand hill right before you get into Moab; we had a blast playing on it.

This is only about halfway up the hill; it's big.

Saying goodbye to the cabin to hit the trail.

This about sums up the kids' reaction to being in the Jeep. Rachel was excited, Reed was apprehensive. It's quite a bouncy ride!

I love Moab.

Yup, that's what we're driving up.

At one point, Reed fell asleep. I don't know how, because it's SO bumpy, and he was like a bobble head in the backseat. This was our attempt to strap his head down.

Views you can't get when you're just driving a car.

Rachel fell asleep later in the day too.

Over the crack. :)

Dear Moab,
We will be back again soon. Hopefully with our own Jeep.
