Fish and Family Fun

For family summer vacation most summers, we go up to Fish Lake for about a week. We had a lot of fun this year with all the family and the kiddos. There were 16 of us in all, and not even everyone was there. Luckily we had a big cabin. On to the pictures!

The Lake
Don't you feel peaceful just looking at it? I do.

View of inside our cabin, the living room. This place has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, but still feels nice and cabin-y.
Mike slaying fish, or, at this point, just driving the boat.

Me slaying fish, or, at least, trying to.

Reed had lots of fun. Both Reeds did, actually

This is how Renick spent a lot of his time

Relaxin' on the couch playing games on their phones (my phone is practically Rachel's, so we may as well call it her's).

The girls got to go out on the boat a couple times, and they mostly liked it, except when the water sprayed up.

Reed took his first steps while we were there! He's really starting to get the hang of it now.

The girls also went "fishing" off the balcony inside the cabin. Mike got this idea before we left home. He put holes in clothespins and attached them to the lines of the girls' little fishing poles. They cast off the balcony and caught yummy "fish" (see next picture).

The "fish" are various snacks and treats attached by the Mommies down below. The girls loved it.

Papa had a lot of fun with his girls

Mike's uncle Richard and aunt Denise came too, it was fun having them with us
Reed did most of his hiking in this little backpack.

Rachel catching real fish with Daddy.

What a fun week we had!

I love the fishing game; that is so cute. I used to go fishing at Fish Lake with my family when I was a little girl, just like Rachel is doing now. Only we stayed in a camp trailer, not a beautiful cabin like that!
