We had a fun Easter this year. It was the first year that Rachel really understood a little more what it was about and how to hunt for eggs. This is the first year Rachel has gotten an Easter basket too, which she was very excited about, although I forgot to take a picture of it. I included in the basket a picture of the resurrection and explained to her about it, so hopefully she remembers something other than just the candy and eggs. Hopefully.
Reed liked Easter too. Plastic eggs are fun to chew on.

Rachel and Cicily with their baskets all ready to go Easter egg hunting.

Notice the "Rachel, smile for the camera" face.
Finding eggs

Eating his loot

Rachel can't open the eggs herself, so I sat on the floor with her after and she would shake each egg and then hand it to me to open. Gammy and Papa also included some cash in the eggs so the kids could go to the store and pick out cool new Easter toys. They got a tee ball set, a drill set, and dinosaurs. I keep telling Mike that he already has a little boy and he needs to let Rachel be girly. But she loves boy stuff (as well as girly stuff).

Coloring eggs.

Mom helped with the eggs a bit:

This was Reed's favorite part of the day- ice cream cones.
It started off like this:

And ended like this:

He ate all the ice cream and even about a third of the cone before it got so soggy that we had to take it away. He was one messy, and happy guy.
Rachel liked hers too.
