First we had to get our chores out of the way. Rachel wanted to help mow the lawn, so Mike let her "help".
Have you ever tried mowing the lawn with one hand? It looked hard. I sat on the porch and watched. :)
On the 5th we went up to the family cabin and spent the day hanging out with some of Mike's family. Rachel's favorite part was her Great Grandma's homemade raspberry ice cream. Come to think of it, that was one of my favorite parts too. :)
She got super messy, but it's all part of the fun. She ate a ton of watermelon too.
Down the path there is a big ol' swing attached to a couple of trees. We put on the kiddie seat and let Rachel have a go. She went back and forth between loving it and being terrified.
Now Mike's back to work. Sad.
But, my parents are driving in from Connecticut tomorrow. Yay!

I wish we could have gone to the cabin with everyone. I'm sad we're going to miss the 24th of July party too. Maybe when we get back we'll get to hang out up there.
