Animals, Weddings, and General Silliness

So I used to know how to put pictures in the right order in Blogger, but I guess they changed it on me and I haven't figured it out again yet. So enjoy some randomly ordered photos from the past couple of weeks. :)

Yesterday we went to some fun activities put on by a local town. Rachel got to pet some farm animals, go on a covered wagon ride, and watch pig races. Ye-haw!

Here she is making nice with some goats. See the big brown animal behind her? That's a baby buffalo, and shortly after this picture was taken, Mike moved Rachel for fear that she was going to get pooped on by a buffalo. Which, you have to admit, would have made for a good story.

Rachel loved this little goat and chased it around trying to pick it up.

Big bunny

Here we are in the covered wagon. Rachel loved it.

These next pictures aren't from the same day. This was a neighbor boy's birthday party. They had face painting and pony rides! Rachel had a blast.

She was wary of getting her face painted, so started with her hands, and then got brave enough to get her face done. I forgot to take a picture of her face, she had balloons on her forehead and a heart on her cheek. She was very sad when it came time to wash them off.

Riding a pony= heaven for an almost-3 year old.

My good friend from high school, who is also named Mary, got married, and I was a bridesmaid, along with another high school friend, Melisa. It was a gorgeous wedding, and a really fun weekend hanging out with my two best girl friends.
Love, love, love her dress. Congratulations Mary and Justin!

It was raining a little bit when they were taking their pictures, so Cory (Melissa's husband) was deemed the "umbrella man" and assisted the photographer.

Melissa and I got to get up-dos for the reception too, which was fun.

And here's a picture of the back:
Guess how many bobby pins are holding my hair up? 41. Yeah, I have a lot of hair.

The rest of these are just random photos.

One silver lining of Mike being temporarily out of a job: playing with the kids in the middle of the day. They just adore him and swarm around him with giggles and smiles whenever he comes into the room.

Reed with a cute questioning look.

Reed after laying waste to a fig newton:

Mindy came over on her way up to visit family and she and Rachel had a blast playing together.

Last but not least, this is the face Rachel makes whenever we ask her to make "cute face".

Mike's still looking for a job, so please continue to keep us in mind and let him know if you are aware of any opportunities. But life is good and happy nevertheless!

I love the pictures of her with the animals. And I love the ones of her and I! I'm so glad we got to spend time with you all! It was fun!

SO, I know this probably doesn't help much, but my niece works for Apple, and apparently they will refund you 100% for an adoption. Pretty cool, no? Anyway, this is not helpful because I don't know exactly what Mike does or if they are hiring for what Mike does, but they have a main office in SLC, and who knows? maybe you could check it out just in case...hope you guys are doing well! Your kiddos are super cute, and I have to say I love that there is another cute little Reid (Reed) out there!
